Typical notes about Copenhagen:

•  I’ve never been to a city where more bicycles than cars are driving on the streets.
•  The whole city is built of bricks. Bricks, bricks everywhere (nice to built your own texture library). I have to say it has it’s own flair.
•  Weather changes within minutes, and since I have been here, the weather is much more like in London.
•  The food is very meaty.
•  Copenhagen is expensive - similar to Paris or in some cases like London.
•  In the center there is a partially self-governing neighbourhood - called Christiania.
•  Multicultural, especially in the Nørrebro district.
•  Vibrant night life - there are always parties or festivals to go.

The weekend started perfectly with a party in the company on friday. But the real party started on saturday because finally I was able to go to a rock festival this year. All the other one I allready missed. Beatday is a small but very nice festival at the harbour in Copenhagen (called Docken). There were three stages and about 5000 people or more. I decided very spontaneously to go there with Troels and a girl from russia who was couchsurfing at Troels place. I haven’t heard anything about the bands at the festival, because most of them were from Denmark, but of course I knew the main act: Sigur Rós.

Before we started drinking we need some fundament at the chill out area. After this tasteful burger (costs around 16 €), the party could start with a drink called snakebite: beer with sweet cider - self mixed. Then we checked out the first band. It was the highschool band DÚNÉ, but they were really good and rocked like rock legends. After them we listened to MERCURY REV (usa) - seems that they are very famous in the states, but I haven’t heared from them at all. After some more drinks, we went to the stage inside to listen to the FIGURINES. And they really rocked, very cool, I have to get some albums from them. And then the main act arrived: Sigur Rós. Troels and me was lying on the floor (also because of very much alcohol) and listened to this awesome music. The front man played the guitar like a violine - strange but very cool. And the last song takes about 15 minutes and was bombastic.

The only negativ thing about the festival was, that it cost me about 140 €…yes Copenhagen is very expensive.
